Clifton Walkway and Chit Rocks, Sidmouth
Clifton Walkway and Chit Rocks, Sidmouth
The walkway from the Esplanade to the base of Jacob's Ladder was built as a Millennium project. The large rocks piled against the low wall are riprap to reduce the force of waves breaking over the path. The railings on top of the low cliff are at the end of Connaught Gardens. Photo taken near high tide on a windy day.
