The Alibi, Victoria Terrace, Kingsway, Hove
Originally known as the Travellers Joy Inn that was built around 1850 at the end of what was Alma Terrace, see TQ2804 : 15-21, Victoria Terrace, Kingsway, Hove. In 1909 it was completely rebuilt, see Link
for an image taken in 1904, and reopened as the St Aubyns Hotel. It was renamed the Kingsway in 1988, Kingsway Sunset in 1989 before reverting to St Aubyns in 2002. It became a gastro pub in 2006 where it acquired its current name and closed in 2015 by its owners, a certain PubCo, well known for running down their pubs and making a mint from the property. It is currently awaiting redevelopment.
