TG2308 : Building by the River Wensum, Norwich

Building by the River Wensum, Norwich
The stretch of the river above Carrow Bridge traditionally represented the limit of navigation for vessels arriving in Norwich. The use of the river as a commercial waterway effectively ceased in the 1980s and the face of the riverside has gradually changed from industrial to predominantly residential. This old building survives in a state of picturesque dilapidation, bearing a 'Norwich Furniture Restoration Centre' sign although there was no evidence of that activity. No doubt there is a reason why the Israeli flag is displayed at the upper window but it was not apparent from this location.
