Deep Dale Cave
Deep Dale Cave
A sizeable cave entrance in the wall of Deep Dale opposite Thirst House Cave. Described in "Caves of the Peak District" (Derbyshire Caving Association) as "a bedding plane crawl, extensively dug by Orpheus Caving Club in 1950s". Photograph taken from the Midshires Way, here descending in steep zig-zags down the dale side.
