NZ2882 : The older half of Kitty Brewster Bridge

taken 8 years ago, near to Bebside, Northumberland, England

The older half of Kitty Brewster Bridge
The older half of Kitty Brewster Bridge
The difference in structure between the eastern (closest to the camera) and western (further from the camera) is down to a 36 year gap between construction of the two structures. The earliest (eastern side) was constructed first, the more modern western side was built when the road which is carried by the bridge was turned into a dual carriageway in the 1990s.
