The 11.17am train for Tweedbank, about to depart from Galashiels on the re-opened Borders Railway. This used to form part of the Waverley Line to Carlisle, which closed in January 1969. The train is a Class 158 Express Sprinter. These were built by British Rail Engineering in 1989-1992 at Derby. It is now in the blue and white livery which has been specified for all Scottish trains.
