Three Mercian saints
Three Mercian saints
Detail of the east window in the chapel of Little Moreton Hall, installed by Bishop Charles Abraham of Derby in 1938 shortly before he donated the house to the National Trust. From left to right the saints depicted are: St Chad of Lichfield, holding a model of his cathedral; St Alkmund of Derby, Northumbrian warrior and martyr; St Werburgh of Repton, Hanbury and Chester, nun and foundress of what is now Chester Cathedral.

For the full window see David Dixon's SJ8358 : The Chapel Window, Little Moreton Hall.
