Mooning gargoyle, St. Benedict's Church, Glinton
Legend has it that this "mooning" gargoyle was installed by the stonemason in a fit of pique following a dispute over the payment of his fee.
The parish church on High Street in the centre of the village was built in the 12th. century with additions in the 13th. and 15th. centuries. Owing to the flat landscape on the edge of the fens, the needle spire is visible for several miles.
