Impatience
A Western Leyland Leopard (1977) is seen here climbing up towards Kirkby Stephen station on the A685. Also in shot is an example of some of the impatient individuals on the road overtaking at a dangerous location. A WWII FW3/24 pillbox can be seen in the background, see NY7606 : Pillbox At Kirkby Stephen for a closer look from nearly three years previously.
Kirkby Stephen & Brough Classic Commercial Vehicle Rally 2017

The 19th rally held in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. On the weekend of 15 and 16 April, many classic vehicles could be noted around the local roads and on show at various sites in the villages. A free bus service connecting Brough, Winton and Kirkby Stephen was offered, giving the visitor an opportunity to sample some historic passenger service vehicle delights!

A road run leaving Brough at 1630 hrs on the Saturday night saw vehicles taking a challenging route via Kirkby Stephen, Great Asby and Soulby.

This selection of images was taken on over the course of both days, with the weather being significantly better on Easter Saturday (15th).
