Leyland Atlantean In Kirkby Stephen
A Leyland Atlantean ex-Merseybus fleet, diverts from the A685 (South Road) into Station Road at the southern periphery of Kirkby Stephen. From there, the B6259 (Nateby Road) would be taken north towards the centre of the town.
Kirkby Stephen & Brough Classic Commercial Vehicle Rally 2017
The 19th rally held in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. On the weekend of 15 and 16 April, many classic vehicles could be noted around the local roads and on show at various sites in the villages. A free bus service connecting Brough, Winton and Kirkby Stephen was offered, giving the visitor an opportunity to sample some historic passenger service vehicle delights!
A road run leaving Brough at 1630 hrs on the Saturday night saw vehicles taking a challenging route via Kirkby Stephen, Great Asby and Soulby.
This selection of images was taken on over the course of both days, with the weather being significantly better on Easter Saturday (15th).
