Wigan Post Office at 28 Wallgate was designed by Henry Tanner and opened on 19th October 1885. It is Grade II listed LinkExternal link

Also Grade II listed LinkExternal link is the former Royal Bank Scotland, 30-32 Wallgate. It is dated 1890 and is by Isitt and Verity. The ground floor is currently used by Salvation Army as a charity shop. There have been plans for the upper floors to be converted into residential accommodation but a fire in 2015 led to discovery of a large cannabis farm in the building.
