Top of Saltburn Road, Saltburn
Top of Saltburn Road, Saltburn
The town of Saltburn is built atop a cliff overlooking the North Sea. The main road to Whitby snakes steeply to cross the mouth of Skelton Beck before climbing back up the other side. This is the top of said descent, seen from close to the end of Marine Parade (left), from which point it almost gives the appearance of falling off the edge of the world.
