Clachaig Gully
Clachaig Gully
A famous rock route, long out of fashion above the Clachaig Inn. It would have been in great nick given the recent dry weather. Also out of fashion is the hellish descent from Sgorr nam Fiannaidh beside the gully. Steep and loose it is definitely discouraged and several folk have ended up in the gully having fallen from it. When we used to camp here, it was often an exercise in schadenfreude watching the head torch lights slowly descending whilst we were having our tea. (unless we were hiding from midges or trying to get our wind flattened tent up again).
