Not the Thames Path
This is the old Thames Towpath, and the map names it as such, but it isn't signed as part of the Thames Path LDP which takes a roadside route a short way to the west of here.
Following the inside of a wide meander, this is definitely the longer route between Shiplake Village and Shiplake Lock, but it's much nicer than going down the road. However, I suspect that it's often flooded, or at least very muddy.
