TL4849 : Remains of an old sign

taken 7 years ago, near to Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England

Remains of an old sign
Remains of an old sign
Since Richard Haughey photographed it in 2011 TL4849 : Mill Lane, Sawston this sign warning of "Children" has lost its panel, only the striped pole and faded red triangle sadly remaining. The companion sign at the other end of Mill Lane has also been pillaged - see TL4849 : Mill Lane, Sawston and TL4849 : Old Pre-Worboys Sign.
Pre-Worboys road signs

These are known as pre-Worboys signs because in 1965 new signs were introduced acting on the recommendations of the Worboys Committee which had been tasked with reviewing the UK's road signage. The new designs have mostly remained in current use with only minor changes.
