Head deposits on old wave cut platform
Head deposits on old wave cut platform
There are two sets of coastal features here, one from the current sea level and another from the slightly higher sea level in the last interglacial about 100,000 years ago. This is made clearer by the orangey head deposits, from the intervening periglacial (tundra) conditions, still sat on the old wave cut platform.
