Class 66 locomotive, Upper Tyndrum station
This Class 66 locomotive, number 66743, is operated by GB Railfreight, and now in the Belmond Royal Scotsman livery.

The Royal Scotsman train needs a locomotive at each end for the journey from Fort William to Mallaig and back. Then it returns south with a single locomotive on the front - this gives clear views from the veranda at the back of the train. The other locomotive returns later, running light engine.
