NS4573 : Posts on the shore

taken 7 years ago, near to Bowling, West Dunbartonshire, Scotland

Posts on the shore
Posts on the shore
This feature on the shore is a continuation of the line of a boundary that (as shown on the first-edition OS map, surveyed in 1857) ran northwards from a small plantation just to the north-west of Erskine House. That boundary is not shown on later maps.

The village of Bowling is across the Clyde. The high points on the skyline are: at the far right, the area in NS4574 near Haw Craig; a little right of centre, the NS4474 : Hill of Dun; at the far left, NS4374 : Sheep Hill.
