SK2959 : The Way in to Work

taken 10 years ago, near to Matlock, Derbyshire, England

The Way in to Work
The Way in to Work
The works entrance if you were a lead miner. It is not easy to see into the mine shaft or to get any idea of its depth or size. It would have been a bit of a climb to get here and who knows how much climbing down before the miners got to work.
