NS3279 : Disused approach to Keppoch

taken 3 years ago, near to Colgrain, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

Disused approach to Keppoch
Disused approach to Keppoch
The view is from the pavement beside Cardross Road.

Receding directly from view is what the first-edition OS map of this area, surveyed in 1860, shows as a road leading to Keppoch (NS32977977); it is clear that it is long disused. The gateposts at the entrance survive: NS3279 : A disused entrance (the present picture is a view from there).

The current approach to Keppoch is from Keppoch Lodge, 180 metres to the south-east.
