Opened in 1854 on the Great North of Scotland Railway's line from Aberdeen to Keith, this station closed in 1968. The line was later singled.
View east towards Pitcaple and Aberdeen. A wooden station building used to be on the left-hand platform whilst to the right was a signalbox and goods shed.
