Hereford Cathedral Tower

Hereford Cathedral Tower stands 140 feet (50.3m) tall and, from the top, large areas of Herefordshire and parts of Powys & Gwent can be viewed on a clear day. The grid line separating SO5039 and SO5139 passes pretty well through the middle of it. There are 218 steps to the top of the tower, and conducted tours were available on Wednesdays and Thursdays in Summer 2013.
