The viaduct has 33 arches and is 2014 feet long. It is an impressive structure which sadly cannot be seen fully due to the vegetation. The pillars are of concrete with a brick skin; the rest is of brick. The parapet walls are 18" thick and 6 ft tall, and are corbelled out at intervals to provide a refuge for anyone on the track should a train come along.
