Wilberforce Scout Centre
Wilberforce Scout Centre
Scout camp owned by Bromley Scouts. The name of the centre commemorates William Wilberforce who was a close friend of William Pitt the Younger who owned Holwood House on whose driveway the camp stands - it was in the grounds of Holwood House that Wilberforce informed William Pitt of his “intention to bring forward the abolishing of the slave trade”.
