The boundary, which is shown on the 1:25000 map, was perhaps associated with the long-gone farm Duchallaw, whose traces are at NS47925970, some 660 metres to the ESE. Another vanished farm, Back Thornlymuir, whose ruins are at NS56255968, in a golf course, was about 1.1 km to the WSW.

Glenburn Reservoir is in the background; the reservoir makes the picture appear slanted, but this impression is caused by the shape of the reservoir (see the map) and by the way that the ground falls away more sharply behind the reservoir's left (western) side.
