1930s semis in Gravel Road, with a pair of Edwardian semis in the background (see TQ4265 : 21 - 23 Gravel Road). The road was named after the gravel pit used to provide the surfacing for the roads built following the enclosure of Bromley Common in 1821 (see TQ4265 : Oakley Road Open Space).
