The Stables, Studley Royal
The Stables, Studley Royal
Impressive building, low and squat. Built c.1716-20 for John Aislabie with a mix of styles. The high square turrets in the newer Burlingtonian fashion with the open arcade and square pillars with rusticated quoins are more Vanbrughian.
