Castles of Munster: Cloncoskoran, Co. Waterford (1)

This tower house was held by Richard Nugent in the 1640s, although it was probably built by the Shanahans. The northern half is all that remains, standing four storeys high with traces extant of a spiral stair linking the upper levels in the SW corner.
