The church in West Street was built in 1860 to the design of Henry Lote. Richard Haslam in his Pevsner guide of 1979 describes the architectural style as "Decorated with ballflower on hoods". Some time later the congregation moved across the road to a newer building in Victoria Road vacated by the Baptists SO2872 : Knighton Methodist Church.
