Standing on the site of the north barbican tower of the east gate of Lincoln Castle, knight on the Lincoln Knight's Trail 2017 by Rachel Olin. Inspired by Nicolaa de la Haye LinkExternal link a remarkable woman who held the high offices of Castellan of Lincoln Castle and Sheriff of Lincolnshire, famously holding Lincoln Castle for King John during the Battle of Lincoln in May 1217.
Lincoln Knights' Trail

To celebrate the 800th anniversary of the Battle of Lincoln and the sealing of the Charter of the Forest, there are 36 sculptures, painted by various artists across Lincoln city centre between May and September 2017.
