Between two windows above the doorway SJ8497 : A gay doorway of the former offices and textile warehouse of M Nairn & Co, carpet and linoleum manufacturers, is the Royal Coat of Arms of Scotland, bearing the Latin motto of the Order of the Thistle:

NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT

usually translated as "No-one cuts me with impunity" or alternatively "Wha daur meddle wi' me".
