NS5381 : Deer-proofed gate

taken 1 year ago, near to Dumgoyne, Stirling, Great Britain

Deer-proofed gate
Deer-proofed gate
The area behind the gate is part of the Duntreath Estate Woodland Creation project. This is a Scottish Rural Development Programme grant-aided native woodland planting scheme. It uses locally sourced native species to create a forest which is of benefit to biodiversity and also improve the landscape. Dead trees are being replaced, and deer excluded until the forest is properly established. This gate has been heightened as part of the deer-proofing.

Dumgoyne is in the background.
