Operating centre for Knapton Power Station
The American owned Knapton Power Station is gas turbine powered solely from local land gas and produces 42 Megawatts of power. Scottish Power sold the plant to RGS Energy Ltd, a subsidary of US Energy Systems for 15.5 million in August 2006. The power station opened in 1995.
