Hull Grammar School Datestone and Merchants' Marks
Built 1583 as the Hull Merchant Adventurers' Hall, the Grammar school is on the southern side of the square. It is a Grade II* listed building (List entry Number: 1197660 LinkExternal link Historic England) which was converted into a museum in 1987. This stone plaque is set in the wall of TA0928 : Hull Grammar School, Trinity Square. It carries merchants' marks and the date 1583.
