Meldon Viaduct railway station, Devon
Meldon Viaduct railway station, Devon
Opened in 2000 by the Dartmoor Railway as the terminus of their preserved line from Okehampton. The line was originally the London and South Western Railway's main line from Exeter Central to Plymouth etc.
View SW towards Lydford and Plymouth. An earlier station existed just beyond the current one between c.1920 and 1968 for workmen's trains. No trace apparently remains of this one.
