This impressive, purpose-built post office building with elevations to elevation to Lowgate and Alfred Gelder Street, opened in 1909. The building is now in mixed use including “The Three John Scotts”, a branch of the Wetherspoon’s pub/restaurant chain. It is a Grade II listed building (List entry Number: 1218045 LinkExternal link Historic England).
