Hull AEC Regal III at the Streetlife Museum of Transport
The Streetlife museum of transport Link
(Archive Link
) opened in 1989 in Hull’s museum quarter. The museum’s collection includes veteran cars, horse-drawn carriages and objects relating to local public transport. It has a range of five scenic galleries, displaying the objects in a visual context. The Streetscene Gallery is, not surprisingly, where you walk along a busy street of reconstructed shops. There is a cycle shop, a Yorkshire chemist shop and a Hull Co-operative shop from the 1930s. One of the highlights is this AEC Regal III (KKH 650) with Weymann coachwork which was delivered new to Hull Corporation in 1949.
