Previously noted as Kitley Quay, this one was not named on the First edition Ordnance Survey 25-in map. Kitley Quay was a little further on. But this quay probably also served the Kitley estate until the coming of the Yealmpton branch railway at the end of the nineteenth century. Yealmpton had a number of lime kilns and these would have relied on coal or culm imported from South Wales
