Land of Green Ginger, The George Hotel
The Land of Green Ginger is a narrow street at the bottom of Whitefriargate in the old town area of Kingston upon Hull. As well as its quaint-sounding name, the street is notable as home to the George Hotel, one of Hullís oldest surviving public houses which can be dated back to 1683. This Hotel has what is claimed to be the smallest window in England (possibly the smallest in the World) Ė see TA0928 : The Smallest Window.

The George Hotel is a Grade II listed building (List entry Number: 1217870 LinkExternal link Historic England).
