SK8224 : Church of St Peter, Stonesby

taken 1 year ago, near to Stonesby, Leicestershire, Great Britain

Church of St Peter, Stonesby
Church of St Peter, Stonesby
One of the 'Ironstone Villages' family of churches. Many of these churches are built from the brown ironstone (e.g. SK7624 : Church of St. Egelwyn, Scalford), which tends to weather badly. But the paler, iron-poor stone of this church is reasonably intact.
