27-39 Widemarsh Street, Hereford
A satisfying mix of Georgian brick and Victorian half-timbering. The Mansion House, nearest, actually dates from 1697-98 (and was "ruined by Herbert Skyrme's inserted shopfronts and central passage"). More C18th/C19th brick follows. Grade II listed.
The half-timbered intrusion, an enjoyable one though, is the Imperial Hotel, by R.A. Briggs, 1900-01.
