Carreg y Bîg triangulation point
Carreg y Bīg triangulation point
A cairn built (or at least, augmented) in the late 19th century and used for triangulation and survey. It's marked on the maps of the time as '1934 ft', and the sharp stone set upright into the top is an original feature, although photos from a survey by the National Monuments of Wales Record ('Coflein') in 2012 show that stone leaning in the opposite direction LinkExternal link
