SH9520 : Old mine workings

taken 1 year ago, 4 km from Alltforgan, Powys, Great Britain

Old mine workings
Old mine workings
A small exploratory mine in the right bank of the Afon Hirddu Fach, with a few piles of spoil pushed out around the river. It's not clear what they were after - it may have been some ore, or it may have simply been a quarry for building stone.
