The Fosse, Castle Green, Hereford
The Fosse, Castle Green, Hereford
A stuccoed fantasy villa straight out of Regent's Park. Nash had no hand in this however; it was probably built c1840 by Charles Heather, either to his own design or to a design of Robert Smirke. It is not standard Smirkian fare. Grade II listed.
To the fore is a fragment of the castle's moat, Castle Pool.
