The Jubilee Walk at Penshurst Place
The Jubilee Walk at Penshurst Place
Penshurst Place dates from 1341 and the Great Hall is a wonderful example of medieval architecture. It was the birthplace of the Elizabethan poet, courtier and soldier, Sir Philip Sidney. The original house is one of the most complete examples of 14th-century domestic architecture in England still in its original location.

The historic formal gardens have records dating back to 1346 and provide a marvellous example of Elizabethan garden design. This is the Jubilee Walk, right in the centre of the gardens.
