TL5666 : Pump at the Dykes End, Reach

taken 1 year ago, near to Reach, Cambridgeshire, Great Britain

Pump at the Dykes End, Reach
Pump at the Dykes End, Reach
The side of the pump bears what appear to be the words PROD MARK followed by 22X. Below that is a crest which I believe bears the word BANFORDS.
Additional information from Dick Williams.. "The markings on the barrel identify this pump as a Bamford's Universal Deep Well Pump. The 22X means that it has a 4" bore; the pump employed a wooden operating rod (for lightness) and it was offered for sale at 7 16s."
