Green at Cliff Parade, Hunstanton
On the left is the lighthouse, it was constructed in 1840, and became disused in 1922, it is now a private residence.
In the centre are the Coastguard Houses, built in 1901, they are now private residences.
On the right is St Edmund's Chapel, built in 1272 in memory of St Edmund, a Saxon, who aged 14, landed on Hunstanton beach in 855AD to claim his kingdom of East Anglia. 14 years later he was killed - a martyr to Danish arrows when he refused to renounce Christ. He became the patron saint of England until that title was given to St George after the Crusades.
