ST0882 : Nant y Cesair Aqueduct

taken 1 year ago, near to Creigiau, Cardiff/Caerdydd, Great Britain

Nant y Cesair Aqueduct
Nant y Cesair Aqueduct
Aqueduct taking the Nant y Cesair stream over the disused Barry railway.

The Welsh word 'cesair' means 'hailstones' but the word has become corrupted over the years to give rise to the name of the local hostelry 'Caesar's Arms'. Combined, the words add a new dimension to the phrase 'Hail, Caesar!'
