Looking over Oxford Street/Peter Street and down Lower Mosley Street from one of the new platforms at St Peter's Square Metrolink tram stop. The tram lines now wrap around St Peter's Cross.

St Peter's Cross SJ8397 : St Peter's Cross was erected in St Peter's Square to commemorate St Peter's church which opened in 1788, but was demolished in 1907. The Portland stone cross by L C Howitt was removed in 2014 SJ8397 : St Peter's Cross and the site of the Cenotaph during the work of redeveloping the Square and creating new Metrolink platforms. Now cleaned and restored it has returned to site formerly occupied by the Cenotaph which has been relocated outside the Town Hall Extension SJ8398 : Lines to the left.
