SZ4281 : Footbridge, Grange Chine

taken 1 year ago, near to Brighstone, Isle of Wight, Great Britain

Footbridge, Grange Chine
Footbridge, Grange Chine
Marsh and Grange Chines unite somewhat upstream of the bridge. The title supposes that carrying the bigger stream claims the name for this bit. The coastal path crosses the bridge, at the expense of steep hills, particularly on the east side. Most large chines along this coast are avoided by the path deviating inland, but this chine, although large, is evidently a good deal more stable than most others.
